The EA Edit March 2025

Well it has been a month!

The weather in London is teasing signs of warmth (occasionally). I've passed my Life In The UK test and have officially applied for citizenship. And I'm about to celebrate 3 years of EA How To being my full time job!

If you're new to The EA Edit, this blog happens on the last Wednesday of each month. It was inspired by my favourite day in the EA How To private Facebook group - Whatever Wednesday. On Wednesday's we talk about our pets, friends, social lives, latest Netflix binge, the podcasts we're listening to and just generally... whatever :)

Most importantly, it's not about work.

Keep scrolling to see what I'm up to and loving right now.

Check out the view from this rooftop bar in London 😍

A gathering of great women (if I do say so myself) 😉

When Haefa Mansour, the founder of ShareCal is in town, the girls come out!

I'm listening to Stalked by BBC Sounds 🎧

Stalked on BBC Sounds is a gripping true story told by Hannah, who opens up to her ex-stepmother about her experience of being cyberstalked. What begins as anonymous, threatening messages online turns into a disturbing and personal ordeal. Through candid conversations, the series unravels the emotional and psychological toll of stalking — and the devastating twist about who was behind it all.

Is anyone not watching Adolescence on Netflix?

It probably doesn't need to be said that I, like most of people on the planet, took in Adolescence in record time. Groundbreaking is an understatement. The fact that every episode (there are 4 of them) was shot in a single take is mind blowing. The acting is extraordinary. The writing is perfection. The subject matter is disturbing but important. This should be mandatory viewing.

Throw A Easter Party!

I used to throw a Easter party every year. Then 2020 came along and we all know how that went. Five years on I think it's time to bring it back.

I absolutely adore Easter decorations and I especially love throwing Easter parties in the UK, US and Canada because unlike Australia, Easter isn't quite as big of a deal so people don't expect an Easter party. It's always a hit!

I have loads of decorations and always do a big dessert theme as well as a signature cocktail and a signature mocktail. Please provide delicious, interesting non alcoholic options. Juice and soft drink isn't enough.

A few decorating and baking recommendations from me to you...

Egg cups are a really easy way to decorate your table.

Trees aren't just for Christmas

Everyone loves bunny decorations

These scoop sets are super helpful for baking.
I've had a set similar to this for years and I'm always using it.

Anytime I throw a party I have a super simple, fun activity. It brings people who don't know each other together, gives people something to do and chat about and no matter what age you are, it's awesome. A cookie or cupcake decorating station has always been a favourite of mine.

Chocolate Easter Eggs in bowls, martini glasses and scattered on tables.

Cadbury Creme Eggs are essential.

I can never go passed a beautiful cake stand.

All kinds of cake stands...

Pretty Easter Tablecloths 🤗

Ok I need to stop because I could go on forever about this!

I hope you have a safe, happy Easter and a well deserved break. I'll be back in April!
